High-performance, battery-operated riveting tool with process control
The battery-operated TIOS 1800 Control riveting tool with integrated process control now performs even better, thanks to its state-of-the-art battery technology. This flexible hand-held riveting tool, which runs on a brushless, low-maintenance DC motor, handles blind rivets measuring 3 mm to 6.4 mm with a maximum insertion force of 18 kN. By incorporating an intelligent energy control system, Titgemeyer is able to supply the TIOS 1800 with special operating features designed for the handling of blind rivets. Its standard equipment includes such items as a system of pressure monitoring, which guarantees the correct joining of the components being processed. Aninformation control system gives the operator on-screen indications of all the required readings regarding status, processing and riveting performance. The energy management system blocks operation if the battery has insufficient charge remaining. An integrated LED light makes it easier to work in badly-illuminated places.The operating speed of the TIOS 1800 (up to 22mm/sec.) makes it a serious competitor for conventional pneumatichydraulic blind-riveting tools, along with the additional advantage of being able to eliminate damage to painted finishescaused by trailing hoses. With its power/traverse measurement, and traceability and monitoring functions, the TIOS Control’s process control system is designed to ensure trouble-free quality control and full monitoring of installation processes. Together the TIOS Control process control system, the TIOS 1800 riveting tool is used, above all, on final-assembly lines in the automotive industry. The device keeps a full record of all data, offering clearly better reliability not only for the automotive supply industry, but also in´other sectors, such as railway rolling-stock construction. With an integrated scanner for the reading of barcodes, the TIOS1800 also helps optimise costs. Various systems (ZigBee/WLAN868/USB) are available for data transfer purposes.
