Success interwoven with tradition

Today over 500 highly qualified employees develop, manufacture and market meticulously tested products, kits and system solutions in the fields of commercial vehicle equipment and fastening technology.
From simple beginnings, more than one hundred years ago, an international production and commercial enterprise has grown. At the dawn of the 20th century, smithies and wagon-builders made up the firm’s clientele, but by the 1920s and 1930s TITGEMEYER had started supplying vehicle producers and body makers. As the product range steadily expanded and changed in tune with the motorisation of the world, so, too, did the types of customers and clients. Heavy axles, coupling devices, steel and aluminium profiles, mudguards and other kinds of vehicle equipment complemented the range of products on offer. Until the 1950s, the company continued to place its focus on the manufacturing of vehicle components. The following years, however, saw the successful introduction of business with POP blind rivets, which ultimately formed the basis of the second company division, namely Fastening Technology. Initially, the blind rivet was intended for fixing body panels onto the framework constructions that were common in vehicle manufacture at that time. The expansion of fastening technology into other industrial sectors soon followed.

Within the two divisions of “Transport Technology” and “Fastening Technology” TITGEMEYER has continuously expanded its range of products, sales network and locations. In addition to 12 sites in Germany, TITGEMEYER is also represented by subsidiary companies in Scandinavia, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Italy and other countries.
