Well equipped for the highest demands of the automotive industry
In August 2009 the English daughter company of TITGEMEYER Group, TITGEMEYER (UK) Ltd in Tipton, was successfully certified in accordance with the strict demands of the international standard ISO/TS 16949. The sales and logistics headquarters for fastening technology in Osnabrück is included in the ISO/TS certification as a ‘remote location’. TITGEMEYER UK is a manufacturer and supplier of innovative fastening systems for the international car industry. “The certification through Lloyds Register went without a problem”, said Stuart Webb, Quality Manager at TITGEMEYER UK. “Since October 2007 the employees at the factory in Tipton have prepared meticulously for the certification. Every detail was inspected under the magnifying glass and continually optimized.” The certification now offers TITGEMEYER UK, as a supplier to the automotive industry, the opportunity to build new relationships with manufacturers. Intensive activity to meet the demands of the ISO/TS was also carried out at the TITGEMEYER Group headquarters in Osnabrück and this was positively emphasized by the certification auditor. “Only with an excellent quality management system, are suppliers able to take a leading position in the market these days. TITGEMEYER is clearly such a company”, commented Klaus vom Lehn, the leading auditor from Lloyds Register.
